Heritage homes and wooded lots, photographed properly

Hudson is historically anglophone, low density, and full of homes that predate the region's suburban expansion — heritage properties along Main Road, converted farmhouses, and larger modern builds tucked into wooded lots between Côte Saint-Charles and the river. Interiors tend to have real character: original woodwork, fireplaces, uneven older light. Those rooms punish flash-on-camera and reward careful bracketing and colour work.

Lot sizes are generous and heavily treed, so the property boundary is rarely legible from the ground. Aerial frames are close to mandatory to show what the buyer is actually purchasing.

Main Road, the Finnegan Market grounds and the small commercial cluster around them host boutiques, galleries, cafés and design-led services that already have a strong visual identity. Generic marketing imagery actively hurts these businesses. We shoot in the register they already occupy — natural light, restrained editing, no stock — and handle bilingual social and local ads for the households in Hudson, Saint-Lazare and Rigaud who are the real customer base.

Hudson's tree cover means the same property looks like two different homes in June and in November. For listings that will sit through a seasonal change, we schedule the exterior and drone pass while the light and foliage still work, and note in the delivery which frames are seasonal.

Hudson is roughly ten minutes north of our studio along Côte Saint-Charles — close enough that we can reshoot an exterior in better light without charging for the trip.

Hudson properties are the ones where photography matters most in the region: heritage houses along Main Road, mature treed lots, and Como-side homes looking onto the Ottawa River, where the setting is half of what is being sold.

Because Hudson is strongly bilingual with a large English-speaking community, we usually lead the listing copy in English and mirror it in French rather than the other way round.
