Laval's commerce is spread along corridors rather than concentrated in one downtown. Centropolis and Carrefour Laval carry restaurants, entertainment and retail that compete on how appetising the imagery looks. Chomedey along boulevard Curé-Labelle and boulevard Saint-Martin is dense with independent services, trades and clinics. Sainte-Dorothée is residential and family-heavy with a strong horticulture and home-services base. Vimont, Auteuil and Duvernay are quieter residential sectors where the resale market moves steadily.

That geography changes the shoot. A Centropolis restaurant needs evening interior footage; a Curé-Labelle service business needs daylight exterior and signage; a Sainte-Dorothée listing needs the yard and the street it sits on.

Laval's housing stock is a mix of mid-century bungalows, semi-detached rows, newer townhouse developments and a growing condo supply near the metro stations. Bungalows and semis photograph poorly with a phone — the rooms are modest and the light is uneven — which is exactly why corrected, properly lit stills change how a listing performs.
