The city and its townships
Downtown Cornwall along Pitt Street holds independent retail and hospitality. The Brookdale Avenue corridor is where the larger commercial and service businesses sit. Riverdale and the neighbourhoods along the St. Lawrence carry older, well-built housing stock, while newer subdivisions have grown on the north and east edges. Beyond the city limits, Long Sault, Ingleside, Cornwall Township and the Glengarry side are rural — farmland, riverfront and acreage properties that are almost impossible to represent from the ground.
The waterfront parkland along the St. Lawrence and the islands opposite give the whole area a genuinely photogenic backdrop that most local marketing simply never uses.
